A tile shows a yellow triangle — what does that mean?

The linked file has been moved, renamed, or deleted. Open the tile editor (right-click → Edit), click the file field, and reassign the correct path.

My Pro purchase isn’t showing as active.

Open Settings → Pro and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you’re signed in to the Mac App Store with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

The global keyboard shortcut doesn’t work.

macOS requires Accessibility permission for global hotkeys. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and make sure FlexBoard is listed and enabled.

I accidentally deleted a board — can I recover it?

FlexBoard writes an automatic backup every 15 minutes. Find it at ~/Library/Containers/JR.FlexBoard/Data/Library/Application Support/FlexBoard/board_backup.json. You can rename it to board.json (after quitting the app) to restore the last backup.

The “+” button for adding tiles has disappeared.

Your grid is full — you’ve reached the tile limit for the current layout. Open Settings → Appearance and increase the number of columns or rows to create more space.

The app won’t launch or crashes immediately.

Quit FlexBoard completely (right-click the menu bar icon → Quit), then relaunch it. If the problem persists, reinstall from the Mac App Store — your board data is stored separately and will not be affected.
